Moving soon, big widgets
After a few months of nauseating uncertainty, I am finally moving to Phoenix in November. I'm really looking forward to being back in the city and seeing everyone!

In Dashboard Widget news, I did manage to convert one of the game widgets into a larger version. It's not full screen, but I think it's large enough to appease everyone while still fitting on small screens. So, I present "Big Asteroids". It should work the same as the original tiny version, but let's just call it a beta for now. Drop me an email if you have any problems with it.

I'm also looking into setting up all the games' high score boards to clear every week or so, much like at the real arcades. No ETA on that though. Oh, and I have updated the Widget FAQ page with better instructions on giving your widgets access to the online high scores.
New Apartment Photos
Just a quick update. I finally got around to taking photos of my new apartment in Ohio. Here's the link, if you're at all interested.
New Site Design
I was finally inspired to redesign the site today. I had been wanting to do something different for a while now, but nothing I started ever went very far.

After settling into living in Ohio (as much as one can anyways), it looks like I'll be moving away sooner than expected. I'm either going back to Phoenix or moving to Los Angeles if a job offer I have works out there. Either way, I'll be moving in October. Good bye crappy weather! Happy

That's all for now...
Life Update
I have to admit that I haven't put a single second into updating or improving the Dashboard widgets collection. Part of me just got bored with Dashboard as the novelty wore off. The bigger excuse is that I've been busy with changes in my life. So for you game widget fans out there, I'm sorry! I don't have any immediate plans to work on the widgets, though some rainy afternoon I would like to release "full screen" larger versions that many people have requested. My previous attempts to get them to be resizable failed, so these will likely just be a fixed large size and separate download from the existing versions.

In March I left Phoenix and moved back to my home town in Ohio. I finally moved into my own apartment this month just outside columbus, which has been nice. I'll probably get some pictures of the new apartment posted in the gallery soon. In general it's been weird and awkward being back after two years. I'm sure there is some reason I'm back here, but at this point I plan to return to Phoenix next year. In the short term I would like to find some sort of part time job that doesn't kill my soul. Freelance work is always an option, but I really need something to get me out of the house.

My website Nano-Reef.com has been doing really well these days, and just had its 5th birthday last April. It has over 20,000 forum members now and new people never stop discovering the hobby. I still find it ironic that the very first website I ever made has turned out to be the only successful one. Of course these days it's nothing like it was back then, except for perhaps the name and the old articles I wrote. Five years doesn't sound like that much time, but as a friend pointed out, that's 1/4 of my life. I certainly couldn't have done it all alone though. I've met so many great people on the site who have donated a lot of their time to help out, and of course it would be nothing without the members.

That's all for now. Perhaps I'll get more into this bloging thing. No promises though.
